AALL Programs
Ready to Set Up Shop Online

The American
Association of Law Libraries signed an agreement with West LegalEdcenter
June 5 to provide Internet distribution for selected AALL online
distance-learning programs at the 2002 Annual Meeting in Orlando,
Fla.
West LegalEdcenter,
an online provider of legal education programs, will record a selection
of programs from the AALL Annual Meeting in July and make them available
for on-demand access at its Web site at http://www.WestLegalEdcenter.com
after the convention.
In addition,
AALL is sponsoring the Berring Legal Research Series, which
is the on West LegalEdcenter Web site. Hosted by Bob Berring, professor
of law and law librarian at the University of California (Boalt
Hall) School of Law, the series focuses on advanced, personalized
legal research. Berring is a noted author and lecturer on legal
research.
"AALL is

and a growing, global audience of legal professionals," said
Susan E. Fox, AALL executive director. "By focusing on both
the specialized competencies and core competencies that form the
foundation of our shared knowledge and values, law librarians can

West LegalEdcenter
offers online legal education programming from local, state and
national providers in both audio and video formats. Programs vary
in length and pricing and many offer CLE credit. AALL members will
be able to purchase the Association's online programs at discounted
member rates.
