AALL Professional DevelopmentUpcoming Workshop Arms Attendees With Skills to Teach Electronic Research

For Immediate Release
September 12, 2002

Would you like to lead top-notch electronic research training sessions? Then you will want to register for the AALL Professional Development Workshop Boot Camp for Teachers of Electronic Research, scheduled for Oct.17-18 in Winston-Salem, N.C.

At this workshop, participants will learn the dynamics of energetic teaching and how to identify individual learning styles. They will then learn to apply these techniques to the teaching of electronic research. Boot Camp for Teachers of Electronic Research has a strong interactive component, using question-and-answer sessions, demonstrations, role-playing, and student contributions.

The registration deadline is Oct. 1. For a complete description of the workshop and registration information, please go to AALLNET at http://www.aallnet.org/prodev/event_bootcamp.asp. For further information, contact AALL Education Manager Mary Jawgiel at 312/939-4764, extension 24.

This program addresses AALL Special Competency 6: Teaching. The complete AALL Statement of Competencies can be found at http://www.aallnet.org/prodev/competencies.asp.
