Extra! Editors Needed for AALL Spectrum
For Immediate Release
January 30, 2003
AALL’s monthly magazine,
AALL Spectrum, is looking for a couple of good editors
for two of its regular columns.
The magazine
needs to fill two editor positions that will be vacant in September
for the “SIS News” and “Committee News”
columns. The editor for “Committee News” will report
on the latest happenings in AALL’s committees, such as major
research projects, new listserv discussions and business meetings.
The “SIS News” editor updates readers on the latest
activities of AALL’s Special Interest Sections, including
annual institutes, award winners, new SIS Web sites or newsletters,
and recently elected officers.
Amy Eaton, “SIS
News” editor, and Patricia Wellinger, “Committee News”
editor, will write their last columns for the July issue of AALL
Spectrum in order to pursue other interests in AALL. The Law
Library Journal and AALL Spectrum Editorial Board
and Advisory Committee extends its thanks to Eaton and Wellinger
for their four years of service to the magazine and wish them well
in their future endeavors.
If you would
like to provide AALL members with the inside scoop on either the
Association’s SISs or committees, send a writing sample and
a cover letter explaining why you’re interested in becoming
AALL Spectrum’s next column editor to Maya Norris,
AALL director of publications.
