Chicago, September, 9, 2000 - The American Association of Law Libraries
(AALL) is pleased to announce the 2000 slate of candidates for Executive
Board. Ballots will be mailed to all members on March 3, 2000, and
successful candidates will be announced on April 3, 2000. Nominees are as
follows:
For the Office of Vice President/President-Elect: Barbara Bintliff (Library
Director and Associate Professor of Law, University of Colorado Law Library,
Boulder, Colorado) and Susan Siebers (Director of Library and Information
Services Katten Muchin and Zavis, Chicago, Illinois).
For the Office of Executive Board Member (for 2 openings): Pauline Aranas
(Assistant Dean for Library and Information Technology and Associate
Professor of Law, Vanderbilt University Law Library, Nashville, Tennessee),
Elmo Dattalo (Information Resource Manager, Morrison and Foerster, LLP,
Washington, D.C.), Sally Holterhoff (Government Documents Librarian,
Valparaiso University School of Law Library, Valparaiso, Indiana), and
Bobbie Studwell (Associate Dean of Library and Information Services, Thomas
Cooley Law School Library, Lansing, Michigan).
The AALL Nominations Committee is charged with presenting a slate of
candidates to the membership that, if elected, would maintain a balance on
the Executive Board of members by library type, geographic location, gender,
and minority representation to the extent possible.
The American Association of Law Libraries was founded in 1906 to promote and
enhance the value of law libraries to the legal and public communities, to foster the
profession of librarianship, and to provide leadership in the field of legal information.
