[Prodev] Beyond the Boundaries

Following up on Sally's message below - although remote
access through a proxy server can be a problem when a
vendor limits access to the law school population, Hein
Online allows IP authentication at the university-wide
domain address level. Since it is licensed to the whole
campus, Hein Online gives the law library, which often
"piggybacks" access to non-legal electronic journals
through the "main library", an opportunity to provide
something unique to the university collection.
Here at Boston College, use of Hein Online by the
larger university community is light, but this sharing of
resources helps foster cooperative relationships between
campus libraries.
