FSU instituted a BS in Information Studies in 1997-8
to reflect the changed emphasis of the school (the
School of Library and Information Studies is now the
School of Information Studies) as preparing
Information Professionals, as opposed to "merely"
librarians. I note they also have a joint degree
program JD/MS with the Law School, which I don't
remember their having when I was there 8 years ago.
