PLL BYLAWS COMMITTEE REPORT 2001-2002
The Bylaws committee was inactive this year--no requests from PLL or AALL for
One issue that must be resolved-
We changed the bylaws so that the ballots do not have to be mailed (the
expense is incredibly high especially given the low return rate). The
bylaws state that the ballots should appear in the PLL newsletter with the
deadline and where to send and the members are responsible (no additional
envelopes are needed).
We have incurred the expense of mailing of these ballots for two years when
it was unnecessary.
I do not think the Section Manual instructions were revised and therefore,
the secretary is following the old directions.
Please have someone send me the section that needs to be revised and I can
make sure that the changes are made.
