Disability Issues

PrintEmail
The new Standing Committee on Disability issues was formed to increase awareness of the disability issues that arise in our libraries and to help librarians develop skills to best include and serve patrons with disabilities. For the first two years of the committee we will concentrate on mental health issues in libraries.

Because this is a brand new standing committee, there are plenty of opportunities for involvement. We particularly encourage input on how members have ensured their libraries are welcoming, useful, and accommodating places for those with disabilities.
