2011-2012 Annual Report

Renewals were sent in January 2012 to the prior year's members. 26 of the 33 members renewed, $780 was received. $260 was paid to Wayne Schneider for database and website management the remaining $520 was retained by TS-SIS. The program continues to be profitable and it supports scholarships and educational programs for the section.

24 members submitted lists for the fall exchange that occurred on November 1, 2011. A total number of 11263 issues representing 2284 distinct titles were offered. The three most offered titles were ABA Journal (421 issues), Journal of Legal Education (219 issues) and AALL Spectrum (206 issues). The titles offered by the most participating institutions were Journal of Legal Education (21), DePaul Law Review (18), Boston University Law Review (17), and Stetson Law Review (17).

21 members submitted lists for the spring exchange that occurred on May 23, 2012. A total number of 8893 issues representing 2284 distinct titles were offered. The three most offered titles were ABA Journal (264 issues), AALL Spectrum (180 issues) and Journal of Legal Education (165 issues). The titles offered by the most participating institutions were Journal of Legal Education (17) and American Journal of International Law (16).

Participants have been following the detailed directions for compiling their lists. This continues to reduce the amount of time needed by the coordinator and database administrator to correct entries and to and reenter those titles that don't conform to the authority list.
