Carol Parker Wins 2008 Outstanding Article Award
Carol Parker, Law Library Director and Associate Professor of Law, University of New Mexico School of Law, was the winner of the 2008 ALL-SIS Article of the Year award. The award presentation took place at the ALL-SIS reception on Sunday, July 13, 2008.
The ALL-SIS Outstanding Article Award honors section members for contributions to the enhancement of academic law librarianship through publishing. Articles published in any format in any publication other than Law Library Journal and AALL Spectrum the year prior to the award qualify for consideration. Articles are evaluated on relevance of topic to some aspect of academic law librarianship; quality of writing; and effectiveness of communication technique.
Ms. Parker's winning article, Institutional Repositories and the Principle of Open Access: Changing the Way We Think About Legal Scholarship, was published in 37 N.M. L. Rev. 431 (2007). You can listen to the presentation of 2008 ALL-SIS Outstanding Article Award.
