OBS-SIS Strategic Plan Committee

The OBS-SIS Chair, Christina Tarr, has announced the formation of a committee to draft a new Strategic Plan for OBS-SIS.

The last strategic plan was voted on in 2006 and was designed to carry us through 2010. It is time to draft a new one for the next five years.

To this end, a committee has been formed to be chaired by OBS-SIS vice Chair/Chair Elect Katrina Piechnik and composed of OBS past-chair Betty Roeske, Georgia Briscoe, Michael Maben, Keiko Okuhara and Christina Tarr.

If anyone else is interested in serving on this committee, we'd love to have you. Please contact Christina Tarr and she will pass your name along.

The plan is to examine the current OBS Strategic Plan, the Association's current plan plus anything else we can find on the AALL website -- (like these articles from AALL Spectrum: AALL's Strategic Plan: Putting Vision into Action by Sally Holterhoff; and, SCCLL-SIS and Strategic Planning: Overcoming Paralysis and Creating a Successful Plan by Gail Warren) -- and come up with a draft strategic plan by March 1, 2013. The plan will them be shared with the membership for feedback (due back April 1), with feedback incorporated by May 1. The revised draft will be then be sent out May 1 for member review, to be voted on at the July 2013 annual meeting.
