Joint Research Grant Committee Agreement Form

1. As a condition of being awarded this grant, I agree to complete this research by the projected date, or to request in writing, and extension of time as supported by demonstrated progress.

2. I agree that, if awarded to me, grant money will only be spent on my proposed research project.

3. I agree, that on completion of the project, I will furnish a copy of the final work, in English, to the JRGC (Joint Research Grant Committee).

4. I agree to return to OBS/TS SISs within 30 days after project completion, any unused funds, or the full amount of the grant award if I have neither completed the project, nor received an extension.

5. If I am permitted an extension and have not completed the project by the extended completion date, I agree to return the funds as in number 4 above.

6. If there may be any special arrangements for returning the money, I understand that they may need to be approved by JRGC.

7. I agree to submit an interim status project report to JRGC by June 15th of the year following my grant award and permit the Committee to publish these reports in TSLL, with the approval of both OBS & TS SIS Chairs.

8. I agree to follow the guidelines of the JRGC with respect to eligibility and terms of the grant. I also acknowledge that I have received the guidelines and have read them.

9. The grant amount I would like to request, based on the best estimate at this time is $_____.00 I have attached to this application a brief breakdown of expenses. I understand that if more than this amount is needed later, that I must submit another application like this one, with my explanation attached. I also understand this is a joint grant and is limited to $1,000 ($500 from TS/SIS, and $500 from OBS/SIS) and that only a partial amount of this total may be granted to me, depending on whether other grants may be awarded.
