The Online Bibliographic Services Special Interest Section (OBS-SIS) needs your help to continue thriving! We wan to hear from members who are interested in serving on an OBS-SIS Committee(s), in running for OBS-SIS office, or working on the OBS newsletter, Technical Services Law Librarian.

CHAIR: Presides at OBS-SIS meetings, represents Section on AALL SIS Council, appoints committees and chairs, prepares annual report, regularly reports to membership in TSLL. Time commitment: several hours each month; term: ONE year, then becomes Past Chair for one year.
VICE-CHAIR/CHAIR-ELECT: Serves as chair of Education Committee, sends out annual membership survey, participates in annual SIS leadership workshop. Time commitment: several hours in each of 3-4 months; term: ONE year, then becomes Chair.
SECRETARY/TREASURER: Takes and transcribes meeting minutes, prepares, collects, and counts ballots for annual election, monitors SIS funds, pays SIS obligations, prepares financial report for annual meeting: Time commitment: 2-3 hours in each of 3-4 months; term: TWO years.
BOARD MEMBER-AT-LARGE: Participates in annual board meetings, assists chair as needed, including liaison responsibilities, arranges for exhibit hall table, plans annual reception with other SIS representatives. Time commitment: a few hours in each of 3-4 months; term: TWO years.
