DESCRIPTION

This Committee is charged with establishing a contact person with the AALL Committee on Mentoring, Retention and CONELL, and encourage at least one PLL member to volunteer for this AALL committee.

This Committee relays information and concerns from the AALL Committee on Mentoring, Retention and CONELL to the PLL Mentoring Committee, as well as relay information, questions and concerns from the PLL Mentoring Committee to the AALL Committee on Mentoring, Retention and CONELL. It also works with the AALL Committee on Mentoring, Retention and CONELL to match PLL mentors with mentees for the AALL Mentor Project. In addition, the Committee assists with compiling, mailing and reviewing AALL Mentor Program evaluation forms for PLL participants; reports back to the AALL and PLL Committees with progress reports and final reports; and reports relevant information in PLL Perspectives.

The Committee also matches new members with mentors or mentees if they fill in the PLL Mentor Project enrollment form included in the New Members' Packet and recruits qualified mentors.
