Members of the State, Court and County Law Libraries Special Interest Section participate in electronic discussions of the Section's work and opportunities and of topics of interest to law librarians in court, government, membership-subscription, and other special law libraries. Please make sure that your e-mail listing with AALL is up to date!

AALL has finished its migration to the new discussion forum software, Lyris. Below, you will find information on how to set and configure your initial profile. You will only have to do this once. Please excuse multiple list postings.

(1) First, visit the AALL Listserv Website for personal accounts

Here you will set up your single profile for all of the discussion forums.

(2) Enter your email address (twice if asked) then click OK.

(3) Next you will be brought to the 'Essentials' tab. Here you can enter your name (highly recommended) and opt for digest if you like. You will be able to edit any of these settings later. BE SURE TO CLICK "SAVE CHANGES" or your name will not be saved.

(4) Click the 'Advanced' tab. This is a dark gray tab located above the field where your email address is.

(5) Enter the password of your choice. Then BE SURE TO CLICK "SAVE CHANGES" or your password will not be saved. This profile that you are creating will allow you to log in to the web interface for easy profile and subscription management.

(6) You're done. Now you can click the 'My Forums' tab to see all of the forums you are currently subscribed to or click on the "All Forums" tab to see all of the AALL discussion forums that have been activated. These tabs are located in the dark blue section at the top of the page.

See a list of all AALL discussion forums, review your forum subsciptions and/or access forum messages and archives.

You will be automatically subscribed to the same discussions you were subscribed to on the old system.

You can continue to post to your forum (listserv) by email, just as before. Online information and help is available on every page. Just click the small question mark (?) icon in the top right area.
