Task Force on Electronic Communication
2007-2008 Annual Report

The Executive Board created the Task Force on Electronic Communication to foster better means of communication between section members and the standing committees. The Board charged the group to explore seven basic issues involving committee communication needs and archival requirements. Members included

The Task Force met twice by conference call and conducted other business through email correspondence. On February 14, 2008, the Task Force submitted a document with fifteen recommendations to the Executive Board. The Board conducted a straw poll and on May 27, 2008, the Board agreed to eight of the recommendations as written. Three recommendations were endorsed with minor changes in language and four recommendations were remanded to the Task Force for futher consideration and discussion. The Board also requested that Chris Long, 2008/2009 vice-chair/chair elect, be added to the group's membership.

The Task Force reconvened in June and after revising the recommendations, resubmitted them to the Executive Board on June 6, 2008.
