This year I worked on the TS/OBS/RIPS/CS-SIS Joint Reception which is scheduled for July 12 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Portland Oregon convention center. I chaired the committee of SIS members working on the reception. Carmen Brigandi served as my second as there was some question as to whether or not I could attend the conference. She will also be helping with set-up.
The committee members and their tasks are
- Jennifer Murray, RIPS — flowers
- Susan Karpuk, OBS-SIS — set-up
- Raizel Liebler, CS SIS — publicity
We selected a menu which I sent out earlier. The cost for the 1208 pieces of food will cost $5423.60. The figure includes $4353 for the food, $870.60 for the service charge and $200 for 2 cash bar bartenders.
This is close to the amount of food we ordered last year and I hope it will be enough.
Currently we are in the process of obtaining the names of III staff members who will be attending the reception.
