Executive Board: Members at Large
Each member at large serves a two-year term on the TS-SIS Executive Board, with one member at large being elected each year.
Each of these individuals:
- Attends the annual TS-SIS business meeting and the incoming TS-SIS Board meeting after election to the Board.
- Attends the annual TS-SIS business meeting and both TS-SIS board meetings the following year.
- Attends the outgoing TS-SIS Board meeting prior to the TS-SIS business meeting at the conclusion of the second year's term.
- During the first year of term, plans and monitors the TS-SIS table in the AALL activities area of the annual meeting exhibits. Gathers or generates items for the display, sets it up, recruits members to sit at the table, dismantles the display, and distributes leftover materials as appropriate.
- During the first year of term, acts as the Board's liaison to the TS-SIS webmaster. Advises the webmaster of any news or reports that should be added to, revised or deleted from the website. Attends the Web Site Advisory Roundtable at the Annual Meeting.
- During the second year of term, chairs the Joint Reception Committee, which plans the annual joint reception. This includes coordinating with representatives from the other participating sections, requesting financial assistance from a sponsor (traditionally Innovative Interfaces), making arrangements for the venue, selecting menu items, ordering floral displays and corsages/boutonnieres for any representatives of the sponsor who will be attending, arranging for publicity, and keeping the Chair updated. - Assist in other projects/duties as requested by the Chair.
- Briefly reports on activities at board and business meetings.
- Submits a written annual report of activities to the Chair by July 30.
