The Summer 2012 issue of the MALL Newsletter, the publication of the Minnesota Association of Law Libraries, has recently been published. The most substantial article of general interest describes how the University of Minnesota Law Library acquired Clarence Darrow's papers and then established a major digital collection of his papers and other materials related to him. The Clarence Darrow Digital Collection includes Darrow's papers and other documents relating to major cases in his career. Also included is a current, searchable database of cases in involved or mention Darrow. The Clarence Darrow Digital Collection is the first digital resource to win AALL's Joseph Andrews Bibliographical Award.

Other interesting articles discuss computer forensics in criminal investigations, the adoption of electronic case files in Minnesota state trial courts, and the Minnesota State Law Library's efforts to digitize its collection of briefs filed with Minnesota state appellate courts.
