The Awards Creation and Review Special Committee shall determine whether there are any new awards that should be created and added to the AALL Awards program in support of the Association’s core purpose and Strategic Directions.
The Awards Creation and Review Special Committee shall review the AALL Awards program to ensure the program is providing recognition in the appropriate categories. This review includes making recommendations for the creation of new awards in in recognition of work being done in emerging services, practices or communications in legal information and law librarianship, which the current program does not address.
The committee will meet by conference call as necessary to complete its work, and make its report and recommendations to the Executive Board for consideration at the April 2018 Executive Board meeting.
Membership on the committee will be until the committee completes its charge.
The committee shall consist of a chair, three members and a non-voting Executive Board and staff liaison.
