Health & Safety Requirements
All Annual Meeting & Conference participants will be required to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative COVID-19 PCR test, taken within 48 hours of attending the conference prior to entry. Proof of vaccination (original vaccination card, printed copy, photo copy, email copy, or QR code) or proof of a negative test result (receipt provided by test administrator) must contain your name and be accompanied by a matching piece of government-issued ID.
Full vaccination is defined per the CDC guidelines. AALL will also accept all vaccines approved by the CDC for travel to the US. Participants are highly encouraged to receive a booster vaccination if eligible.
As you know, things are changing quickly with respect to communicable diseases. By registering for the AALL Annual Meeting & Conference, you agree to abide by all government and all AALL safety protocols in place at the time of the Conference. We will promptly communicate any changes. Any attendee unwilling to comply with the above requirements will not be granted access to the event, nor will any refunds or expense reimbursements be issued.
We have taken enhanced health and safety measures for the protection of all our attendees, speakers, sponsors, and staff. It is imperative that all registrants for the Annual Meeting & Conference follow all instructions when attending the conference. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. It is extremely dangerous to senior citizens and to any person that has underlying chronic health problems.
By registering for the Annual Meeting & Conference, you confirm that (a) you are fully aware of the risks and hazards with respect to COVID-19 inherent in your attendance and participation at the conference; (b) you freely and voluntarily agree to assume all risks that may result from contracting COVID-19, including the risk of death, bodily injury or property damage, regardless of severity that you may sustain as a result of your attendance at the conference; and (c) you agree to release the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL), American Conference Institute, Inc. (ACI), and its affiliates (including any of their respective members, customers, employees, board members, directors, agents or volunteers) (collectively “Releasees”) from all damages or claims (“Claims”) of any kind that you might suffer if you contract COVID-19, and will not hold any Releasees liable for any such Claims.
You also agree to adhere to the health and safety requirements (i.e., provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative COVID-19 PCR test prior to entry).
You will also be required to conduct a COVID-19 self-screening at the conference and agree to forego attendance if you answer “Yes” to any of the following at the conference.
