Calls for Great Ideas

The AALL Annual Meeting provides so many opportunities to tackle current issues and share ideas and experiences—and we want to hear from you. Here are some great ways you can contribute:

Poster Sessions

Have you implemented an innovative program in your library? Perhaps you've created a set of best practices to apply in the workplace. Or maybe you'd like to share new classroom techniques, findings from a research project, or a practical problem-solving effort. Poster sessions are a popular feature of our Annual Meeting offerings; this year's selections will again be on display in the exhibit hall—and your good idea could really benefit your Annual Meeting colleagues! Find more information and submit your proposal online by April 14.

Innovation Tournament

AALL members are innovating the legal information profession, and the AALL Annual Meeting & Conference is where so many great ideas converge. This will be especially true at AALL 2017, which will feature the culmination of AALL's first innovation tournament, where finalists will pitch their projects and a prizewinner will be determined. The tournament will support the development and implementation of compelling library innovations. Find more information and apply online by May 5.

Discussion Dens

Everybody knows that the Annual Meeting provides countless opportunities to network and learn from other colleagues—and here's one more. To keep the conversation flowing in Austin, informal "Discussion Den" chats will be held throughout the conference. Attendees can brainstorm, sound off, and share their challenges, experiences, and ideas, while strengthening ties to their professional community.

Got a burning question you'd like to ask? Maybe you'd like to pick your colleagues' brains about a new innovation. Wondering if anybody has dealt with the same situation you find yourself in now? Send your topic ideas to annualmeeting@aall.org by May 15 and stay tuned for more details closer to the Annual Meeting.
