The Digitization and Educational Technology Special Interest Section (formerly known as Micrographics/Audio-Visual) focuses on three core areas:
- Presentation using educational technology (e.g., using images in PowerPoint)
- Preservation of materials through digitization
- Production using educational technology (e.g., making a movie or videotaping presenters)
Though some of our members are experts in one or more of the above areas, you don't need to be an expert to join. In fact, one of our strengths is educating DET-SIS members as well as other members of AALL in those areas. If you have any interest in any of the three above areas, DET-SIS membership is for you.
Current members can participate in the DET-SIS Community.
Our list of past programs on the About Us page can give you a better idea of what is included in each of the three core interests.
