When trying to leverage data within your work, how do you know where to start? What can help is learning tips and techniques in developing a data science perspective when approaching your work. Join this webinar and learn how to understand the data in front of you using scenario-based examples, along with being introduced to techniques to apply to your work. Lastly, you will learn about on-going digital based learning opportunities to understand how to leverage data for your projects.

Jerica Copeny is the Civic Data Scientist at Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library. She hold an MS in Human Computer Interaction from DePaul University and an MLIS from Dominican University. She has a dynamic background of HCI, qualitative and quantitative techniques. Jerica was a Data Science Fellow with Data Science for Social Good at the University of Chicago. She created a groundbreaking civic data science model to increase data literacy and show communities and public libraries how to use data science. Jerica was named an Innovator in the Library Journal's 2018 Movers & Shakers list.
