You can use Google Apps at work and home to simplify all kinds of routine jobs. Need a cleaner email box? Try filters. Want to create a document with several authors without losing previous work? Version history in Google Docs can be a lifesaver. Once you use Google Forms for surveys, invites, and quizzes, you’ll find more and more uses. We understand that some organizations may limit access to Google Apps, but you can still use these features in your home life to help streamline daily tasks.

Speakers:
Debbie Ginsberg
Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law

Debbie is the Educational Technology Librarian at Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law. She works with faculty, students, and staff to provide research and training on the latest technologies for scholarship, teaching, and productivity. Debbie has given technology presentations for the American Association of Law Libraries, ABA TECHSHOW, the Special Library Association, and other organizations, as well as written a number of articles on law school and legal technology.

Emily Barney
Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law

Emily is the Technology Training & Marketing Librarian at Chicago-Kent College of Law. She enjoys collaborating with a wide range of staff, faculty and student projects. Working with Debbie, Emily helps support course websites, course recordings, and offers introductory legal tech workshops in the legal writing program. Since the COVID-19 transition to online and hybrid education, she has joined the IT team to provide training support via handouts, virtual workshops, and video recordings and helped with the on-site team configuring the hybrid classrooms. She continues to work behind the scenes to support events and student organizations, workshops, training, etc. via Zoom.
