Digital Accessibility: Best Practices and Considerations for Law Libraries (ALL-SIS)

Please join the ALL-SIS Continuing Education Committee for a virtual panel discussion on best practices for law libraries in implementing and continuing digital accessibility initiatives. Panelists include Susan deMaine, Director and Senior Lecturer, Jerome Hall Law Library, Indiana University Mauer School of Law; Sara Sampson, Assistant Dean for Information Services, Director of Law Library, and Senior Lecturer at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law; and Todd Venie, Assistant Dean and Director for the Library and Information Technology Services, LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. Topics to be covered include practical steps in making library-created content, including teaching materials, digitally accessible; obtaining institutional and staff “buy-in” for digital accessibility initiatives; and working with database vendors and e-book publishers to ensure their platforms are digitally accessible.
