2023 Diversity Summit: Advocacy and Allyship Friday, February 24, 2023 (12pm - 4pm US/Eastern)

The Private Law Librarians & Information Professionals SIS (PLLIP-SIS) and the Black Law Librarians SIS (BLL-SIS) are excited to announce the 2023 Diversity Summit: Advocacy and Allyship. In the past two years, the Diversity Summit has started conversations about race and diversity in our profession and in our lives, and focused on intersectionality and its importance in diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) efforts. This year, we are focusing on DEIA advocacy and allyship, and what that means to us individually and as a profession.

We are planning an engaging keynote session with Michelle MiJung Kim, author of The Wake Up: Closing the Gap Between Good Intentions and Real Change, and an interactive virtual workshop facilitated by ReadySet. The workshop will be followed by a discussion session moderated by fellow law librarians.

The Diversity Summit will be held as a virtual event on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 9:00 am Pacific / 12:00 pm Eastern to 1:00 pm Pacific / 4:00pm Eastern.

NONMEMBERS: $50

Complimentary registration for unemployed members is available by contacting Abby Dos Santos and is subject to verification. You will receive a promo code that must be entered on the online payment form.

Please note that after you register for the Diversity Summit, you must then also register for the Zoom meeting separately using the link provided on the thank you page or your registration confirmation email.
