Including You and Me: Creating Inclusive Library Instruction Sessions and Classrooms (RIPS-SIS)Wednesday, March 1, 2023 (1pm - 2pm US/Central) |
Join the Research Instruction & Patron Services SIS (RIPS-SIS) and Dr. Kawanna Bright for an interactive session. Library instruction has a well-established standing within the hierarchy of important library services. With this well-established standing comes a series of standards, frameworks, and best practices typically designed to support successful library instruction. However, the need to ensure that library instruction is inclusive is not always well reflected within these standards, frameworks, and best practices. This workshop will focus on sharing methods for creating inclusive library instruction sessions and classrooms, with a particular focus on inclusive instruction within law library settings. To assist with the creation of a workshop that will provide the most useful information, attendees are invited to complete a short pre-session survey by February 6 to express areas of specific interest or concern.
