Earlier this year, generative AI and popular platforms like ChatGPT burst onto the scene in a big way, offering a new way to generate content and provide users with plain-language answers to their questions. The potential use cases in law are vast, but there remain several unknowns and risks that law firms and academic libraries are still trying to parse. This session explores research from the Thomson Reuters Institute around attitudes towards generative AI in law today and discusses how the technology can and will be used practically in the law firm and academic settings.
