Open to the Public: How Law Libraries Are Serving Self-Represented Litigants Across the Country

DESCRIPTION

This report highlights the valuable role law libraries play in improving access to justice in the United States. It provides information on law library collections, technology, personal services, and referrals, and interactive ArcGIS StoryMaps detail technology and services offered at nearly 150 individual law libraries across the country. The project includes a video intended for general audiences and law library advocates.

This project was completed by Joan Bellistri, Sara Galligan, and AALL Government Law Libraries Special Interest Section (GLL-SIS) in July 2019. It was awarded the AALL LexisNexis Research Fund Grant in April 2019.
