Why did you join AALL?

I was eager to join AALL as I believed it would help me to further my career.  I knew that I would learn more about the profession and I wanted to participate in an organization that provided a means to broaden my knowledge.

Why do you stay a member?

I remain a member because AALL provides life-long learning skills and an opportunity to meet people.

What one membership benefit is most valuable to you?

I enjoy reading AALL Spectrum, I read it from cover to cover.  Each issue offers a vital element to my role as a law librarian.

What is your favorite memory associated with AALL?

I have so many memories associated with AALL, but my favorite memory is the first Annual Meeting I attended.  I was nervous, excited, and thrilled to have the opportunity to attend.  There was such so much energy in the atmosphere and everyone was so pleasant.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy going to museums and the theatre.  I also enjoy painting, reading, and traveling with my family.  I am huge tennis fan so each August I am in the stands at Citi Open Tennis.

What book(s) are you currently reading?

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot, and Must Love Shoes, by Julie Gaver. One books makes me tear up and the other book makes me laugh, a perfect balance.

What’s your favorite travel/vacation destination?

Venice.
