"This company claims to have patented their technology–can you find the patent?" "Here's a patent by a start-up company, what other technology do they have in the pipeline?" Just as public librarians are asked to identify a book by the color of its cover, law librarians are often asked to identify patents with very little information. This presentation will present practical tips and tricks from both firm and academic librarians on finding a particular patent. The program will cover both search strategies that work on any system, as well as useful features on a variety of commercial databases.
