OpenRefine is a robust tool used by information professionals to clean and transform messy data in large datasets. However, since OpenRefine is such a powerful tool, it can be challenging to learn how to use and apply its many features and options. This program will go beyond explanations and examples of OpenRefine’s capabilities, allowing participants hands-on practice to explore, manipulate, and transform real-world datasets. This practice will ensure that participants know how to use OpenRefine’s feature set and it will emphasize the types of data manipulation that is possible with the tool.

This program is sponsored by the OBS-SIS.
