Law firms have ethical responsibilities to perform due diligence for conflicts and potential red flags raised by “clients of questionable quality.” This session provides an overview of professional and ethical responsibilities placed on firms during the new business intake (NBI) process. Librarians with experience in conflicts and new business intake will also provide insight on how firm libraries can use the NBI process to show firm leaders how existing library resources and research skills can enhance due diligence research and the firm’s bottom line and/or what to do when NBI responsibilities drop in the library’s lap.
