2015 AALL Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, July 19-21


  • PCC Room 111A, 11:30 AM - 12:45 PM: LHRB-SIS Morris L. Cohen Essay Presentation; Sung Yup Kim, our 2014 Morris Cohen Essay Contest winner, will present the winning paper “Those Innumerable Litigations of a Civil Nature Arising among the Lower Sort,” Justices of the Peace and Small Debt Litigation in Late Colonial New York.  Feel free to bring a brown-bag lunch, and enjoy this annual recognition of blossoming legal historians.

  • McGillin's Olde Ale House, 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM: Please pre-register or talk to Sabrina Sondhi for a ticket to our LHRB-SIS Reception, which will be held at McGillin’s Olde Ale House, 1310 Drury Street, about 5 blocks from the convention center.  


  • PCC Room 104B, 3:15pm-4:30pm: the LHRB-SIS Host City History Roundtable. This year’s Roundtable will feature Regina Smith, Executive Director of the Jenkins Law Library, and John Van Horne, Director Emeritus of The Library Company of Philadelphia, who will discuss how the evolution of their libraries can serve as a blueprint for successfully adapting to economic and technological changes.  
  • Marriott Room 304, 4:30pm-5:30pm: the LHRB-SIS Rare Book Cataloging Roundtable


  • PCC Room 105A, 12:30pm-2pm: the LHRB-SIS and FCIL-SIS Roman Law Interest Group will discuss Researching the Corpus Juris Civilis.
