This award, created in 2009, is presented to a law library supporter in recognition of the advocate’s substantial contribution towards the advancement and improvement of a government law library’s service or visibility. A Law Library Advocate is generally an external law library supporter, who may advocate on behalf of one or more law libraries. In exceptional circumstances, nominees may be employees of a government law library whose advocacy work goes above and beyond the nominee’s job responsibilities and duties and benefits law libraries beyond their place of employment.
