The FCIL-SIS Publicity Committee promotes the projects and interests of the FCIL-SIS to its members and the greater law librarian community, develops relationships with new FCIL-SIS members, and facilitates ways to strengthen the FCIL community. Its work focuses on three primary areas: maintaining and generating content for the DipLawMatic Dialogues Blog; promoting FCIL-SIS projects and interests through social media; and organizing publicity initiatives during the AALL Annual Meeting and Conference, including the FCIL-SIS presence in both the Exhibit Hall Activities Area and the CONELL Marketplace. Through blog and social media posts throughout the year, the Publicity Committee highlights the latest developments in FCIL librarianship, such as new trends in publishing, cutting-edge services offered to patrons, teaching tips, and important events in the FCIL community. The Publicity Committee actively recruits authors from both inside and outside the FCIL-SIS to share their perspectives on FCIL topics and to review books, films, and resources for DipLawMatic Dialogues. Over the past several years, the blog has grown into a popular and respected source for current awareness in the fascinating and rapidly changing field of FCIL librarianship
The Publicity Committee invites both members and non-members of FCIL-SIS to contact us with ideas for blog posts or to inquire about opportunities to promote upcoming FCIL-related events. Please follow our Twitter feed and Facebook page and join our Facebook group to keep up with blog posts and other committee initiatives. If you are unable to attend the annual meeting or if you have any questions about this group, its mission, or how to join, you may also reach out to the committee chair for additional information.
Finally, be sure to stop by the FCIL-SIS poster at the AALL Annual Meeting and Conference to connect with colleagues and to obtain additional information and resources about the FCIL-SIS. We look forward to joining you for many new and exciting projects over the coming year!
