Anticipating AALL and Returning to Saint Kitts and Nevis

The 2022 AALL Annual Meeting and Conference will be Ms. Moncrieffe’s first international conference. She is eager to learn and gain new law library and librarianship skills, as well as make new contacts and connections with other law librarians and legal information professionals. As a solo law librarian in a small Caribbean Island nation, Ms. Moncrieffe will gain an understanding and appreciation of law librarianship from a completely different perspective. Upon return to St. Kitts and Nevis, Ms. Moncrieffe will extend her reach to the wider Caribbean, and write articles, blog posts, and give presentations at CARALL (Caribbean Association of Law Libraries), of which she serves as Secretary, since 2018.

Presentation

The FCIL-SIS welcomes all AALL attendees to Ms. Moncrieffe’s presentation titled Law Librarianship from a Caribbean Law Librarian’s Perspective where she will discuss the challenges faced by law librarians in the Caribbean, as well as the limitations of the profession.

Please join us in welcoming Ms. Moncrieffe to Boston in July and join us for her presentation on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at 5:30-7:00 PM (EST) in the Marriott Boylston Room. Please continue to check the schedule for any changes.

FCIL-SIS greatly acknowledges the generous contributions of many Donors.

Despite valuable support from AALL, FCIL, vendors, and individual AALL members, the FCIL Schaffer Grant for Foreign Law Librarians Fund currently does not fully cover the recipient’s transportation, lodging, and food costs. Your tax-deductible donation will enhance the Grant’s impact and ensure the continued presence of foreign law librarians at AALL. Please make a Contribution today!
