Public Relations Committee Announces Second CALL-Up Networking Meeting
UPDATE (2/9/10): EVENT CANCELLED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER; WILL BE RESCHEDULED AT A LATER DATE
The Public Relations Committee announces the second CALL-Up Networking event, a meetup for Chicago law librarians. The first CALL-Up went so well, there was high demand for more. The second CALL-Up will be held at Crepe Bistro, 186 N. Wells on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 5:30pm. This is intended to be a casual meetup for colleagues to mix and mingle. We hope to see you there! No need to RSVP!

Joint CALL / SLA Illinois Business Meeting Scheduled on February 26

Community Service Committee Event: Hustle Up the Hancock
Come cheer on the Chicago Association of Law Libraries Stair Climbing Team as we Hustle up the Hancock -- raising funds for the Respiratory Health Association (and improving our own respiratory health in the process) by stair climbing to the top of the John Hancock Center on February 28! Continuing Education Committee Hosting Tour of Chicago Public Library's Business Library
Interested in learning more about the business resources available at the Chicago Public Library's Business Library? Then come and join the CALL Continuing Education Committee at the Chicago Public Library for a tour of the facilities and a hands on introduction to their electronic databases. CALL Business Meeting Scheduled on November 19
Mark your calendars for the CALL Business Meeting on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Maggiano's. Dean Joe Kearney and Patricia Cervenka of Marquette Law School will be speaking about building the new law school and its law library. The Community Service Committee will be collecting children's coats, gloves, mittens, hats, and scarves for the Illinois Keep Our Kids Warm and Safe Campaign and children's toys for Children's Memorial Hospital. The Community Service Committee will be collecting school supplies for Chicago Public Schools' Educational Support for Students in Temporary Living Situations (formerly Homeless Education Program).
