Here is the latest tip for those of you going to the annual conference in Victoria -- a Seattle Times article discussing how to get the best deals on exchange rates and more importantly how to avoid bank fees. Thanks to Barbara Engstrom!
From the President, Deb Person:
Please review the proposed bylaws amendments to be voted on at the business meeting in Victoria. The changes are mostly for clarification purposes, however I did ask the Constitution and Bylaws Committee to consider moving the Committees out of the bylaws and retain the information instead in our handbook. This is consistent with AALL. It allows more flexibility and eliminates the need for bylaw changes each time committees are altered. Please consider these changes for our discussion next week. I would like to extend my thanks to Michael Greenlee and the Constitution and Bylaws Committee for their consideration.
