AALL Virtual Coffee Chat: Successful Approaches to Supporting Evening and Online StudentsTuesday, February 3, 2026 (11am - 11:45am US/Central) |
Many law schools seek to attract working professionals by offering evening programs and, more recently, primarily-online J.D. programs. These students present a unique challenge for outreach and engagement, as they are not only in law school but also managing other responsibilities while attending classes primarily in the evenings, on the weekends, or asynchronously.
How does the library engage effectively with these students? How do we encourage them to seek out library resources and connect with librarians? Has your library adjusted hours, service models, or outreach tactics to boost engagement? What techniques have been most effective? What hasn’t worked, and why? We’ll discuss these and related questions at this casual chat.
Please note: AALL virtual coffee chats are not recorded and registration is open to AALL members only.
