AALL Virtual Coffee Chat: Principles & Standards for Legal Research Review Wednesday, January 28, 2026 (2pm - 3pm US/Central)

The AALL Principles & Standards for Legal Research Review Special Committee has been established to review and recommend revisions to the AALL Principles & Standards for Legal Research Competency, originally approved by the Executive Board in July 2013, and subsequently revised and approved in April 2020. The purpose of this review is to ensure that the Principles & Standards reflect the evolving landscape of legal research, incorporating contemporary knowledge and skills necessitated by the emergence and integration of artificial intelligence in legal research practice. The Special Committee would like to solicit input from AALL members to ensure broad, diverse, and inclusive representation of perspectives.
